Waste Collection
Trash and recycling services in Waterleaf are provided by City of Jacksonville. The collection schedule is as follows:
Garbage Pickup: Monday
Yard Waste Pickup: Monday
Recycle Pickup: Every other Tuesday
Bulk Pickup: Every other Monday. *Note that bulk and recycling are not picked up in the same week
Tire Pickup: Tuesday *You must schedule pick-up service with COJ
Appliance Pickup: Tuesday *You must schedule pick-up service with COJ
All items must be placed curbside no later than 6 a.m. on collection day, and no earlier than 5 p.m. the day prior. Empty receptacles and bulk trash that was not collected must be removed by 6 a.m. the day after collection (City of Jacksonville Code of Ordinances, Sec.382.415(b)).

Watering Restrictions
The St. Johns River Water Management District’s watering restrictions are designed to ensure the efficient use of water for landscape irrigation. The restrictions allow enough water to maintain healthy landscapes year-round. The mandatory restrictions specify the time when watering may occur, the amount of water that may be applied, and the days when watering may occur for residential and nonresidential locations.
Stormwater Systems
Simply put, a stormwater system is a tool for managing the runoff from rainfall. The association is responsible for labor and expenses for keeping the system functional and operating as it was designed. This responsibility applies to every homeowner and property owner in the neighborhood, even if they do not live adjacent. Learn what you can do to help conserve and improve the quality of water that enters the stormwater ponds.
Nuisance Animals
If you would like to report a nuisance animal that has been spotted barking, digging, meowing, howling, or creating a disturbance; an animal bite; stray animals or animals in distress; or any other animal related issues,you need to open a service request or call (904) 630-CITY(2489) and ACPS (Animal Care and Protective Services) will investigate.
Wildlife
All wildlife issues are exclusively handled by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). You are advised to stay away from all wildlife. You can hire a private pest control company or registered trapper to remove the wildlife. People with concerns about an alligator should call FWC’s toll-free Nuisance Alligator Hotline at 866-392-4286. FWC will dispatch a contracted nuisance alligator trapper to resolve the situation.
Mail Concerns
- For a postal emergency, dangerous mailings or postal threats, select option #2
- Individuals who wish to report vandalism or graffiti on USPS property, buildings or mail boxes identity theft or mail theft, select option #3
- Individuals who wish to report mail fraud, select option #4.
